Breeding stock are lodged in ponds under strict water and feed control. The capture process is done without alarming the school in order to avoid them damaging each other.
Later each individual is taken with care to separate compartments with acclimatized water and protected from light, for its transfer to indoor pools.
The extracted breeders are analyzed and selected carefully for the eggs and sperm extraction.
This delicate procedure takes place in our especially designed laboratory with technology developed by our experts.
Nowadays we produce millions of alevins of the different species yearly. Our specialists perform the genetic selection of the best breeders for the collection of eggs and sperm.
Embryonic development takes place in hatcheries which have interconnected tanks with water and temperature control. These factors are basic for achieving a high fertility rate.
Later in special installations spawning is induced and fertilized with selected sperm. An analysis and follow up is made and the alevins are born in special incubators. Natural pulverized feed is supplied during this period, which lasts 30 days.
Water quality comes from natural springs at our establishment. Maintained and controlled, constantly renovated.
This ensures fast development in good health, to offer outstanding quality and an unbeatable flavor.
Feed lasts until maturity and final weight are reached. Feed supply must not lose its properties entering in contact with the water and must not sink to avoid the stock feeding from the bottom.
Fish develop in tanks that are adequate to their natural habitat and are fed on natural diets obtained at our establishment with prime quality raw materials.
At the Don Demetrio packing plant, equipped with state of the art technology, we process the selected individuals and prepare the fish in the different varieties we offer.
Specimens chosen for slaughter are captured with special nets in the tanks. Immediately after they are sacrificed through thermic shock, thus starting the cold chain that is maintained through the whole process until the product is shipped to the client.
Immediately after the recollection they are transported to the packing plant in special bins for cold shipment and are slaughtered
Our packing plant has modern installations that allow us to slaughter in record time, eviscerating the fish in record time, without cutting the cold chain.
After the slaughter fish are submitted to the last quality controls, after, they are labelled and packaged automatically. Then they are boxed and ready to be entered in the market
Our product “Pacú ROSAMONTE” was exhibited at different world fairs, and passed the strictest sanitary and quality controls required by national and international norms.
